Swansea Storm Annual Presentation Evening 2015

Swansea Storm Basketball Club's largest ever annual presentation evening was celebrated this week with over 100 players, parents, coaches and volunteers in attendance.
Guest presenters included: Jon Morgan CEO of Disability Sport Wales; Mr Paul Lee, the former Chairman of Swansea Basketball Club during the 1990s; and Swansea based International Referee and Basketball Wales board member Mr Haydn Jones.

The club has gone from strength to strength since its reformation back in 2005 and in its tenth anniversary year, Swansea Storm has had one of its most successful seasons both domestically and internationally. The club has won both Welsh league titles and cup competitions, and a number of players have been selected to represent Wales at FIBA International competitions.
One of the biggest areas of growth in the club has been our wheelchair section with numbers of those playing increasing on a monthly basis. The team will now look to play a number of friendly matches during the course of the new season with the aim of playing in a Welsh competition in the near future.

Re-established in 2005, Swansea Storm Basketball Club now has more than 100 members training each week with teams training and competing at U10, U12, U14, U16, U18, Senior Men and Wheel Chair Basketball. New members are always welcome.
